Cybersmart Challenge #30

Hello. Today we had to complete Cybersmart Challenge #30, and this challenge was pretty simple to complete. The challenge for this week was checking authenticity. Authenticity is another word for real, and in this challenge we had to read and find out which information is authentic is which information is not. Art Coloring Book

Hello. Today in class we had to complete a art book from the Summer Learning Journey. The image above is a picture of what we've had to do. Prototec Basic Facts

 

Hello. In class, we had to do a prototec test again, but this time it might be our last test for this year and term. In my last test I got 87% on stage 8 and now this time I got 92% on the same stage. I am really happy with my results because I've made more progress, I've even beaten my highest score for prototec stage 8. My highest was 90% and now its 92%. I think I can do better if I learn certain things and make my brain respond faster at these math problems. Nevertheless, I am happy and grateful with the score that I received and hopefully I can get 100% if I do another test. Stay safe and well.

Cybersmart Challenge #29

Hello. In class today we had to complete our cybersmart challenges. Today we all had to do challenge number 29. In this challenge we learnt how to write things we find online in our own words and learn not to take other people's work and use it as or own. I also learnt a new word plagiarism, plagiarism means taking someone else's work and using it as your own. In the slide above is my work I had completed. Storyboard - The School Teacher By Liz Allen

Hello. For reading today we read a poem about a teacher. We had to take one stanza from the poem and create it as a scene on storyboard. If you don't know what a stanza is its basically a group of lines that forms a paragraph in a poem. The stanza I chose is, She used to enjoy stuffing little heads full of information until they were bursting like suitcases. Her expectations have been replaced by a pervasive feeling, she has been let down by something or someone. This means that she used to enjoy teaching children a lot, but now she is unsatisfied with her job because she has either taught for to long or has gotten tired of seeing the same people everyday. Anyways, I really worked hard on this Storyboard and I hope you like it. Stay safe!

My Online Reading Quiz Results

Hello. Today my classmates and I are supposed to post about our online reading quizzes. In the first image at the top is the book I've completed. I started this book quite a while ago and it was actually pretty good. Basically this book is about a women named Pandora that was given a box not to open, but eventually opened it because Zeus disguised the box as an First-aid kit, and a whole bunch of bad things came out of it like zits, rashes and chicken pox. This book personally was great and enjoyable to read. The image under the book is my quiz results and I got all questions correct, I wasn't expecting that score but its great. The app I read this and many other books on is Myon. I really like this app because it gives you an endless amount of options and you can choose the categories or genres of what books you want to read. This app also gives you a quiz once you've completed the and keeps track every week on your progress like, how long you've read for and how many books and pages you've read. I enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend you reading it. If you want to read this book it is called, Keep a LID ON IT PANDORA by Kate McMullen. Stay safe and well!

Prototec Basic Facts 2021

 

Hello. Today my class and I had to practice on Prototec. Most of us in this class today are on stage 8 or 6. I'm in stage 8 and to day I got 87% for the timed test. I'm happy with my score, but I think I can do better. My highest score on stage 8 prototec is 90%, but today I got a few less than that. Stage 8 is the last stage until you finish prototec, and only one person had completed, she also got $10 for that. I think I can do better in the future and complete stage 8. Nevertheless, I am really pleased with my results and hopefully when I do this practice test again I get a better score. Stay safe and well!

Technology - Science

 

Hello. Today I had a Technology class and in Technology we learnt about the different states of water. I learnt a lot today and I never thought that I'll learn so much in one class. I learnt that ice can turn into water vapour when put into a boiling pot. This water vapour is also known as steam. You can see water vapour when it's foggy outside, in the pot when someone is cooking with liquid and in the kettle when you heat up water. I also learnt new vocabulary like water vapour, condensation and evaporation. Today we were meant to come with the ingredients our Science teacher said to ring last week for this week, but there were a few new people joining and some people didn't have the ingredients. So, we're going to do the experiment in next week's class. My favourite part of today's lesson was the kahoot in the end of the lesson, it was pretty simple, but there were a few mistakes I made. What I've Learnt About Jellyfish

 

Hello. This week we have an upcoming writing exam which basically decides our final score for writing of 2021. My class and I were set a assessment and we had to write and explanation about how jellyfish sting. Basically, this helps us to be more prepared for the test and it helps us find what our teachers are looking for in an explanation writing. We had t finish the piece of writing yesterday and send it to our teacher. I had learnt so many things about jellyfishes, things that I hadn't known before about them. T be honest it was really hard to find the information I was looking for, but I managed to finish it nevertheless. I learnt things like, jellyfishes are 95% water and contain a substance called mesoglea which is a gelatinous substance mostly found in jellyfish and coral. Technology - Science

Hello. Today I had Technology online. Last week we didn't have Technology because the college that she works at started up again after many weeks of lockdown. Today we learnt about the different biomes there are. A biome is a large naturally occurring community of flora and fauna occupying a major habitat. I've learnt that there are 5 different types of biomes. There are desert, grassland, forest, aquatic and tundra biomes. Technology (Online)

Hello. Today I had my first online class for this term. It's the last term of this year and we might be spending half of this term doing online meetings. We had technology today and I'm in Science. The class started at 9:30 and ended at 10:30. In Science we were learning about weather and what types of weather we get like sun, wind and cloud. First we had to answer some questions about how our weather is like in our area. Then we all watched a video of a girl explaining what weather is and the different types of weathers you get. After the video we were asked by our teacher to explain what the difference is between climate and weather. Climate is the weather conditions changing in an area over a long period of time like about 30 or 40 years. Weather is the changing of the temperature every time like everyday, every hour, every minute and/or every second. Today's online class was pretty simple and we didn't really have that much work to do but this blog and a picture matching game. I really enjoyed my first online class for term 4 and hopefully we can get back to school again soon. Bye!

My Lockdown School Holiday Revision

 

Hello. Welcome back to my blog. Today my class and I were set a task to finish and it was to write about how our holiday went. Today we didn't have any online classes because it was teachers only day. While the holidays I didn't feel like going back to school, and now that school is tomorrow it makes me feel even more lazier and stressed because I really don't want to go back to online classes. If school were to be in person I would feel excited and happy that school is starting up again. Online classes just don't feel right to me and I hope that we go back to in person school soon. Last Day of Term 3

Hello. Today is the last day of term 3, that means no more school for the next fortnight (2 weeks). I feel really happy that we have no more online classes, because it has been really hard with the internet and background noise. Nevertheless, I managed to get through it and it's all finally over. Well, I think it's over, but we don't know yet if we're going back to in person school next term. I hope we do, because I'm tired of waking up and just staring at the screen for an hour and I want to be back at school. At the same time I don't want to go to school, because now that it's the school holidays, I can stay up and watch this k-drama my sister recommended. If you want to know what it's called, it is EXO next door. Anyways, I had just finished my final call at 12 o'clock and it was pretty fun and we didn't really do that much work, all we did was play games in Reading and complete a worksheet in Math. I wish everyone a happy holiday and I hope you all stay safe and well. Now, let me get back to my work, also comment what's your favourite thing to do in lockdown. Bye!

Lockdown Update

 

Hello. I'm back and it's been a long time since I blogged about my life, so this blog is about things I've done to not be bored in Lockdown. I know, Lockdown is really boring and there's nothing to really do other than eat, play video games and sleep. I live with 15 other people and I just noticed that I don't really know many things about my family members. I do get really annoyed with them, and with a big number of people in your house privacy doesn't exist because there's always someone that wants to come in your room or someone that eats your food without permission. It's just a big mess in my house, but there are days that we all just calm down and not annoy each other. Finally here are a few things you could do if you get bored in Lockdown, and remember that Lockdown isn't just protecting us from the outbreak but also helping us get to know our family members a little more.

List of things you could do:

1. Make dinner for your family (Ask mum or dad)

2. Play card games

3. Bake cookies or brownies

4. Do some Science experiments

5. Read a book or draw

My New Rotation - Technology

Today we had our new rotation for Technology. We had to do it online because of the outbreak that happened a few weeks back. The new class that I'm in is Science. Science is actually one of my favourite subjects and it was really interesting to learn the new facts about Science. We also introduced ourselves to our new teacher, Mrs Shamer. I had a great experience and I hope once we meet in real life we would have an even better experience than today. Nevertheless I still enjoyed myself and also learnt a lot of things like vocabulary, and vocabulary is really important.
